Dear Friends and Family,
Are the rumors true that Brad and Ruth are going to Greece?
Ruth and I were asked to look at a ministry in Athens, Greece, to help develop a camp ministry and work with Pakistanis, Kurds, Turks and other migrant works from Muslim back grounds. We have been praying about this for some time and decided we should take this step to see if it’s something the Lord may be leading us into. Even if we never end up there, we’re interested in helping in their camping ministry to make it an even more effective tool for evangelism and discipleship.
Why we are going?
Ø To see how God is presently using camping in Greece and to give advice on how their camping program might be developed to reach more people there, and strengthen the church and its leaders.
Ø To see the ministry among the Muslim migrant workers.
Ø To see if God may want our family there in the future for ministry.
When are we going?
Ø Ruth and I are planning to be in Greece July 4-14.
Who will we be working with?
Ø Jonathan & Miriam Macris, President of Hellenic Ministries. www.hmnet.org or http://www.hmnet.org/porto.html
Ø We will see the migrant worker ministry than work with a leadership/sports camp July 9-14th
How can you be a part?
Ø Prayer - for wisdom as we step through this door to see what God may have for us.
Ø Finances – God has graciously provided for the funds for plane tickets for Ruth and I to go.
What’s in the future?
This does not mean that we are leaving camp or that we will be taking up Greek dancing but we may watch “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” with better understanding. We are only obeying what God has been directing us to do and leaving the outcome to Him to direct and to lead. Our hands have always been open. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via phone or e-mail.
With Joy,
Brad & Ruth Eidsen
