Dear Friends and Family,
I have been so blessed to be with so many of you this past month as I spent time in the No. Cal area. Thank you for those of you that took the time to grab coffee, meet for a meal, and all those that came to the Thai evening a few weeks back. I enjoyed catching up with so many of you, and meeting new faces and friends too. What an overwhelming blessing of prayer support; your prayers have carried me more that I am sure I can even comprehend!
I have just come down into the LA area for this next month and I am praying for continued opportunities to share about what God is doing in Thailand and at Grace International School. Please pray that God directs my time, opens doors as I continue to raise support, and that I also have time to rest.
This past week God has proven faithful in giving me some real good rest and time to catch up on things in my personal life, so I'm praising the Lord for that at the moment. I also just wanted to share a praise with you about how God has continued to gently ease me into going back to Thailand. I just recently reconnected with Nicole who was my roommate in Thailand for the last 3 years, and also one of the ladies that continued to direct the ministry for homeschool support in Thailand during this past year. It was a real blessing to have a few days to catch up with her and debrief on how things had gone during the year. I've been praying that God helps me make this transition back to Thailand smoothly and having time with Nicole definitely helped me begin to make those mental transitions of going back (as well as just a sweet reminder of how God meets our needs in friendships no matter how far apart we travel at times).
For those of you in the area who want to connect while I'm here...I am currently staying with an former roommate from my college years in La Habra and making trips to the Thousand Oaks area to see family. Give me a call if you want to get together (707-477-1335), and I'll let you know soon when I will be hosting an evening to share about the work going on in Thailand.
PRAISES:
My flight is booked for Sept. 1st
My visa arrived this week
Mary Douglas who is going to be teaming with me to do homeschool support in Thailand this year has already arrived and is getting herself familiar with things in the ESD office already! I can't wait to see how God draws us together as a team this year.
I have a chance to speak at my brother and sister in law's small group in Newbury Park this Friday...so again praise the Lord for opportunities like these!
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Balance in my time of meeting with people and taking time to relax
Raising support and trusting the Lord for his provisions at the same time! =)
That my times in the Word would continue to be rich during these times of transition and my focus would stay firmly fixed on HIM!
That I would be a blessing to those I come in contact with!
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
