Bern Velasco, Pastor of Young Adult Ministries

Bern & Kat Originally from Tucson, AZ, Bern began following Christ as a junior at University of Arizona where he was discipled under Campus Crusade. His wife, Kat, began following Jesus in High School and was also involved with Campus Crusade where the two met. After graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors in Environmental Science, Bern worked for an Environmental Agency for four years to pay off debt while interning at their local church before pursuing full-time ministry. In 2003, he and Kat moved to Texas to attend Dallas Theological Seminary where he received a Masters in Theology (Th.M.) in Pastoral Ministry and New Testament. While completing his schooling, Bern drove every kind of truck UPS has on the road (except Semi's) and did some environmental consulting on the side. While in Dallas they ministered at their church shepherding a young married’s ministry. Bern and Kat have two children, Kenzi and Keves.
