Fall Session, Thursdays September 2 - December 2, 2010
Morning Studies 9:15-11:45, Evening Studies
7:00-8:45 p.m.
Join us as we grow together through fellowship and Bible Study. We begin with an opening of music, worship, and prayer to prepare our hearts for our time in God’s Word. In each discussion class that follows, you will be encouraged as you learn from His Scripture and each other, and conclude with a time of prayer in small groups.

The Power of a changed life in Christ is not
unlike the changes a caterpillar goes through to become
a beautiful butterfly. Imagine that same power of
creation applied to your life as you live joyfully above
your circumstances. No matter where you find yourself
today, join your fellow sisters in studying God’s Word.
Learn how to gracefully take flight and enjoy the victory
God intends for you!
In this session of SIS, we will discover together the
powerful concepts that our theme verse holds true for
each of us. Then take the positive principles learned
and apply them to your choice of the following studies for everyday victorious living in Jesus.
Child Care
Morning Session: A pre-school children's ministry of Bible stories, crafts and games as well as nursery care is provided.
Evening Session: Childcare provided.
(LifeChange NavPress Series.)
There are more personal details about the Apostle Paul in his letter 2 Corinthians than in
any of his other New Testament letters. Two of his chief themes are divine comfort and
encouragement in the midst of troubles and suffering, and God’s strength manifested
through our weakness. We will be blessed as we see how these truths apply to our lives,
just as they did to his.
Suggested study time: 1 ½ to 2 hours per week
Discussion Leader: Glenn Glenn
(Beth Moore Video Series.)
Most Christians today do not fully enjoy the abundant life God intended. He intends for
you to know and believe Him, glorify Him, find satisfaction in Him, experience His
peace, and enjoy His presence. Join Beth Moore in a study based on Isaiah 61:1-4 as you
identify spiritual strongholds in your life and journey toward greater freedom in Christ.
*This class will be in session until 12 noon (morning class) and **9pm (evening class).
Suggested study time: 2 – 2 1/2 hours per week
Discussion leaders (morning): Judy Crawford, Brooke Kline & Sue Steen
Discussion leaders (evening): Nancy Santos & Sue Steen
(A Mary Cooney Series. Part Two will be offered Spring Session 2011)
What's the divided kingdom? When was Judah ruled by a queen?
When does an orchestra lead an army? Who came first, Daniel or David?
Ever feel overwhelmed by the Old Testament?
Do you struggle to figure out how it all fits together? Then this study is for you!
User-friendly, you'll be able to put it all in perspective, connect the dots & see
the big picture of God's plan for the ages. Our goal will be to see God in His Word
and learn together how to respond to Him.
Suggested study time for this one year class: 1 ½ - 2 hours ***
***Though you will not be required to read the ENTIRE Old Testament, each lesson
will help you glance through a book, and then settle on a specific story, which may
include several chapters.
Discussion leaders (morning): Mary Cooney & Loreen Whirley, Kitty Jones &
Janie Phillips
Discussion leader (evening): Cindy Wilde & Sarah Merkel
(A Donna Partow Series.)
This chapter by chapter study of 2 Corinthians will inspire and encourage you. In its
opening chapter, the word comfort occurs ten times, setting the tone for what is to
follow. As a follower of Jesus Christ, you have been called by God for a very specific
purpose. Not to live out a perfect life in your own perfect little corner of the world, but
to come alongside imperfect people suffering the inevitable pain of living in an imperfect world. Following Jesus isn’t about getting; it’s about giving. It’s not about finding our
lives; it’s about losing them. Be challenged and encouraged by Christ’s message through
Paul to this early church. Join us as we discover the power of a sincere faith!
Suggested study time: 1 – 1 ½ hours per week
