Creation & Foundations - Genesis 1:14-23 - October 2, 2025 

Excerpts From Genesis 1:14-23: "Then God said/And God made/And God placed/And God created/And God blessed" 

In Genesis 1:14-23, we see God in the midst of creation, making the water/the sun for warmth/light in the day, and the moon for light in the night. Additionally, God creates fish in the sea and birds in the air. In the process, we see these action verbs: "God said, God made, God placed, God created, and God blessed." 

As we, who are Christians, read through the creation story in Genesis, we are amazed at what God did and how he did it. But that being said, the majority of people don't believe, and can't accept the Bible's account of creation. Because they don't believe it, they have created human theories to explain creation; theories such as the Nebular theory and the Big Bang theory. The reason why they can't accept and believe the Bible, and the Bible's account of creation, is seen in 1 Corinthians 2:14 and Romans 8:7 

* I Corinthians 2:14 "The natural man(unbelievers) receives not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned." 

* Romans 8:7 "The mindset of the flesh is hostile to God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so." 

This issue with unbelievers isn't limited to the account of creation. It runs throughout the whole Bible. Because they don't have spiritual insight and discernment, they can't wrap their minds around biblical truths such as the virgin birth, the children of Israel walking across the Red Sea on dry land, Jesus being God, who walked on water, and rose from the dead. 

For those of us who are Christians and have the indwelling of God the Holy Spirit, the Bible's account of creation and the miracles that are beyond human understanding don't hinder our instructions, encouragement, and blessings from God's Word.   

"PRAISE THE LORD" 

* Hebrews 4:12 "The Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." 

If you have unbelieving friends and relatives who reject the truth of the Bible, don't give up praying for their salvation. Remember that the thief on the cross put his trust in Jesus the day he died.

Extractos de Génesis 1:14-23: «Entonces Dios dijo/Y Dios hizo/Y Dios colocó/Y Dios creó/Y Dios bendijo» 

En Génesis 1:14-23, vemos a Dios en medio de la creación, haciendo el agua, el sol para dar calor y luz durante el día, y la luna para dar luz durante la noche. Además, Dios crea los peces en el mar y las aves en el aire. En el proceso, vemos estos verbos de acción: «Dios dijo, Dios hizo, Dios colocó, Dios creó y Dios bendijo». 

  Cuando nosotros, que somos cristianos, leemos la historia de la creación en Génesis, nos sorprende lo que Dios hizo y cómo lo hizo. Pero dicho esto, la mayoría de la gente no cree y no puede aceptar el relato bíblico de la creación. Como no lo creen, han creado teorías humanas para explicar la creación, teorías como la teoría nebular y la teoría del Big Bang. La razón por la que no pueden aceptar y creer en la Biblia y en el relato bíblico de la creación se encuentra en 1 Corintios 2:14 y Romanos 8:7 

* 1 Corintios 2:14 «El hombre natural (los incrédulos) no percibe las cosas del Espíritu de Dios, porque para él son locura, y no las puede entender, porque se disciernen espiritualmente». 

* Romanos 8:7 «La mente carnal es enemiga de Dios, porque no se sujeta a la ley de Dios, ni siquiera puede hacerlo». 

  Este problema con los incrédulos no se limita al relato de la creación. Se extiende a lo largo de toda la Biblia. Como no tienen perspicacia ni discernimiento espiritual, no pueden comprender verdades bíblicas como el nacimiento virginal, los hijos de Israel cruzando el Mar Rojo en tierra firme, Jesús siendo Dios, que caminó sobre las aguas y resucitó de entre los muertos. 

Para aquellos de nosotros que somos cristianos y tenemos la morada de Dios el Espíritu Santo, el relato bíblico de la creación y los milagros que están más allá del entendimiento humano no obstaculizan nuestras instrucciones, nuestro aliento y nuestras bendiciones de la Palabra de Dios. 

  «ALABADO SEA EL SEÑOR» 

* Hebreos 4:12 «La palabra de Dios es viva y eficaz, y más cortante que cualquier espada de dos filos; penetra hasta la división del alma y el espíritu, de las articulaciones y los tuétanos, y es capaz de juzgar los pensamientos y las intenciones del corazón». 

  Si tienes amigos y familiares incrédulos que rechazan la verdad de la Biblia, no dejes de orar por su salvación. Recuerda que el ladrón en la cruz puso su confianza en Jesús el día que murió.
