Meeting Times / Details

Sunday Mornings

Children ages birth-5th grade meet every Sunday morning. Babies from birth-23 months old are checked in to the nursery in the lobby of the main worship center. Everyone else (2 yrs - 5th grade) will check in in the lower level of the Children's Ministry building. Check-in begins at 9:45am and pick-up is after the worship service is over. Feel free to click the button below to pre-register your child before you come to save time!

Wednesday Nights | Awana

AWANA is our discipleship club where children ages two years-5th grade can memorize verses, study, and learn life lessons from the Bible. It is so important that we train up our children to follow Jesus and learn to hide His Word in their hearts. AWANA helps kids to build their lives on the solid, sure foundation of God’s Word. Our Awana program runs from September through April every year - and space is limited!

Child Safety

Background Checks

All of our children's ministry volunteers have been livescan fingerprinted in order to ensure child safety in our classrooms.

Security Cameras

Our classrooms and hallways include security cameras to protect both children and volunteers throughout our ministry.

Volunteer Training

We regularly train our volunteers on safety policies and procedures. Also, we equip them to serve our children with the love of Jesus and truth of the Gospel.

Child Dedication

A smiling family of three adults poses for a photo. A grandfather in a plaid shirt holds a small baby, flanked by the smiling parents.

At Hessel Church, we believe that dedicating your child to the Lord is a biblical practice (1 Samuel 1:26-28, Luke 2:22), and we greatly encourage our young families to take part! We take part twice per year during our Sunday morning worship services in Child Dedication. To learn more and to sign up, click the link below!
