Icebreaker Questions 

1. What is an area of your life in which you have a hard time looking to Christ and not yourself?  (Ex: Work, family needs, etc.)

2. If someone were to ask you to 'proclaim Christ' - what would you say?  In other words, how would you proclaim the Gospel to a stranger?

Diving Deeper

1. Read Colossians 1:15-23.  What does this passage teach us about the identity of Jesus Christ?  How does a text like this help us in our understanding of the Gospel?

2. Read Colossians 1:28-29.  What is our role as a follower of Jesus when it comes to (1) embracing the Gospel, and (2) having a healthy and humble view of self?

Life Application Questions

1. "The Gospel offers me the prospect of applying the specific beauty of Christ to my life in specific areas of sin."  Identify areas of sin in your life - and seek to explore how the Gospel applies specifically.

2. We all struggle to be humble at times.  What are some practical things that you need reminding of regularly that humble you before a holy God.  How are you going about reminding yourself of that this year?
