Icebreaker Questions

1. Who's a 'behind-the-scenes' person who has profoundly shaped your faith?  How did they do that?  Have you had an opportunity to shape the faith of others in similar ways?

2. In our church today, what are the roles that tend to get overlooked?  How can we do a better job at (1) thanking those in service, and (2) getting in the game ourselves?

Diving Deeper

1. Read Romans 16:1-5.  What adjectives does Paul use when talking about Phoebe, Prisca, Aquila, and Epaenetus?  What do these terms teach us about how we are to live the Christian life?

2. Read Romans 16:6-16.  With what word does Paul use to begin all of these verses?  Do you think our church is doing a good job at following these commands which were explicit for the Romans but also implicit for all of us?

3. Read Romans 16:16.  How many churches of Christ greet these people, according to Paul?  How can we do a better job at becoming more unified as a Church across the world?

Life Application Questions

1. What's one way your home (or calendar) will become a ministry base in the next 30 days - meal, study, prayer night, newcomer dinner?  Be specific.

2. Romans 16:4 talks about risking and sacrificing that comes with faithful service.  What 'risk-taking' step is God asking you to take as you faithfully respond to Him?
