Icebreaker Questions

1. If you could study one part of God’s creation in detail (the stars, DNA, ocean depths, etc.), what would you choose and why?

2. As a kid, what’s something that used to fill you with wonder—but now you tend to take for granted?

Diving Deeper

1. Read Psalm 19:1-6.  What does this passage teach us about God 'speaking' through the natural world?  What does this imply in terms of human responsibility for ALL people (Romans 1:18-20 for reference)?

2. Read Psalm 19:7-11.  What characteristics of God's Word are listed in this section?  Which one stands out the most to you, and how does it change your approach to God's Word?

3. Read Psalm 19:12-14.  Why do you think David turns from looking outward at God's revelation to looking inward at his own heart?  How should the prayer in verse 14 guide us in prayer today as well?

Life Application Questions

1. How are you going to practically 'see' God in the natural world moving forward?  How does your mind need to be reshaped to have wonder for God's glory in the daily observation of our world?

2. Does your heart for the Word of God align with David's heart?  What do you need to believe about the Bible in order to draw you in to disciplined reading and study?  Make a plan, and be specific.
