Sermon Study Questions 12.14.25
Icebreaker Questions
1. When someone asks “How are you doing?” what’s your default answer—honest, vague, upbeat, or humorous?
2. What’s one area this year where you felt over your head—like you didn’t have enough strength for it?
Diving Deeper
1. Read Matthew 1:21-23. What is the difference between simply believing in God, and knowing that God is with you in your weakness?
2. Read 2 Corinthians 12:8-10. What stands out most: Paul’s repeated prayer, God’s answer, or Paul’s response? How should this interaction between Paul and God guide us to live our lives today?
3. Read Romans 10:9-10. What is the Christmas story asking of us in response? How is God calling you to faith this season?
Life Application Questions
1. What’s a practical next step to “give Jesus access” to a weak place: prayer, confession, counseling, accountability, rest, boundaries, talking to a leader, joining a group?
2. Who do you know that’s carrying weakness quietly right now? What’s one tangible way to be “Immanuel” to them this week (presence, meal, text, prayer, ride, listening)?
