Icebreaker Question

1. How was your Christmas season?  What was a highlight?  How about a challenge?  How is God asking you to trust Him in this season?

Diving Deeper

1. Read Psalm 23:1-3.  List the actions that David ascribes to God as his shepherd?  How does the work of God in our lives assure us that God is with us in our waiting?

2. Read Psalm 23:4-5.  After reading these verses, how would you describe God's affection for you?  How does God's love for you change the way you experience hardship?

3. Read Psalm 23:6.  How long will God be with us?  How does knowing this influence us to walk the Christian life?

Life Application

1. God is with us in our waiting.  He is with us in our weakness.  He is with us in our mess.  He is with us in the unexpected.  He is with us all the way home.  Choose one of these truths to focus on as we turn the calendar to 2026?

2. Choose one verse from Psalm 23 to commit to memory this week (or, if you are an overachiever, go for the whole thing!)  How does treasuring God's promises lead us in the Christian life... and how will it lead you this year?
