1. If you had to pack a suitcase for an unexpected trip right now, what would be the first three things you’d grab? What does that reveal about what you value most?

2. When you think about the future of the world, what emotions come to mind? How does your faith influence that perspective?

Diving Deeper

1. Read Acts 1:11.  What stands out to you about the phrase “this same Jesus” in Acts 1:11?  Why is it important that it’s the same Jesus who lived, died, and rose again?

2. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.  How does Paul describe the return of Christ in 1 Thessalonians 4?  What does that tell us about the nature of this event?

3. Read 1 Thessalonians 4:18.  How does the reality of the return of Christ motivate encouragement and love for others?

Life Application Questions

1. If Jesus returned today, how confident would you be in your relationship with Him?  What gives you that confidence—or what concerns you?

2. How does believing Jesus is coming back change the way you approach everyday conversations?  Where can you be more bold or intentional?
