1. What did the cracked and messed up megaphone represent in the sermon? Along those lines - have you ever felt like a "cracked megaphone?"
2. Who have been some very positive influences in your Christian life? Now, were they perfect people or did they have their own challenges? Why do you think it is that God uses messy people?

1. Read Philippians 1:15. What were some of the different motives for preaching that Paul mentions in this verse? How important is motive in preaching? Why is it important?
2. Read Philippians 1:16-17. The sermon asked: “Can I celebrate what God is doing when I’m not the one He’s doing it through?” Why is that such a difficult question?
3. Read Philippians 1:18. What does this verse teach us about the source of Paul's joy?
