Sermon Study Questions 8.10.25
My Story
1. If you could “burn the ships” in one area of life—removing all possibility of going back—what would it be?
2. Would you describe your Christian commitment to God as "all in?" Have you had seasons of life where living an "all in" life of faith was more difficult? What makes being an "all in" Christian so important?
Diving Deeper
1. Read Romans 12:1-2. In Romans 12:1, what does Paul mean by offering our bodies as a “living sacrifice,” and how does that contrast with Old Testament sacrifices? How does the command to “not be conformed to this world” (12:2) challenge the way we engage with culture today?
2. Read Romans 12:9-10. In verses 9–10, Paul commands love to be “genuine” and honor to be shown abundantly. How do these two qualities reinforce each other in Christian community?
3. Read Romans 12:11-12. How does the progression in verses 11–12—zeal, hope, patience, prayer—paint a picture of a healthy, all-in believer?
Taking it Home
1. Which of your spiritual gifts do you feel you’ve been neglecting, and how could you start using it more intentionally?
2. What’s one practical step you can take to feed your passion for God and avoid slipping into spiritual complacency?
