Icebreaker

1. If you had to choose one: do you usually react faster with your words, your actions, or your emotions? How does that tendency help or hurt when dealing with conflict?

2. Have you ever had a moment where you really wanted to “get back” at someone but didn’t? How did it feel afterward — freeing, frustrating, or something else?

Diving Deeper

1. Read Romans 12:14. Why is blessing instead of cursing so hard, and how does it show evidence of God’s Spirit at work?

2. Read Romans 12:17-19. In what circumstances does Paul command us to live peaceably? What are some way you can be proactively peaceful with those around you?

3. Read Romans 12:20-21. What does it mean to overcome evil? What are some real-life examples you’ve seen of good triumphing over evil?

Life Application

1. Who is the “hardest person” in your life to bless instead of bite back? What is one practical way you could show them unexpected kindness this week?

2.Think of a conflict or tension you’ve been part of recently. What would it look like to live out “as far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all” in that situation?  Spend time praying and asking God to fill you with His Spirit to better handle conflict in a godly manner.
