Sermon Study Questions 8.3.25

My Story

1. If you could ask God one question about His plan for the world, what would it be?

2. What’s one “mystery” or surprise you’ve encountered in life that eventually made more sense later on?  What "mysteries" do you struggle with biblically and theologically?

Diving Deeper

1. Read Romans 11:25-26. What does Paul mean by a “partial hardening” of Israel and how does this reveal God's long-term plan? How does the phrase “all Israel will be saved” challenge or affirm your understanding of God’s covenant promises?

2. Read Romans 11:28-32. Paul emphasizes that God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable. Why is this significant in the context of Israel and the Gentiles?

3. Read Romans 11:33-36. How does Paul use rhetorical questions in verses 34–35 to shift the tone from teaching to worship? What effect does this have? What theological truths are captured in Romans 11:36 (“From Him, through Him, to Him are all things”), and how does that summarize the entire chapter?

Taking it Home

1. Is there someone in your life you’ve written off as “too far gone”? How might this passage challenge that mindset?  Spend time praying for that person now.

2. How might viewing your gifts, time, or obedience as “from Him and for Him” shift how you approach giving and serving? What is one specific way you can re-center your life this week around God's glory instead of your own goals?
