Creation & Foundations - Genesis 1-11 (Review) - October 28, 2025

"For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" Hebrews 4:12

 We, as Christians, believe that the Bible is 100 percent true, inerrant, and God-breathed.  It consists of 66 books written by God through 39 or 40 authors over a period of 1,500 years (bible scholars are not sure who wrote Hebrews).  Although these authors did the writing, God did the inspiring and guiding.  That is why the Bible is one book.  Most unbelievers believe that the Bible is not God's Word.  It is a book written by well-meaning men who did their best to explain what was going on around them.  John 3:19-20 explains why they don't accept the Bible as truth: 

 "And this is the judgment, that the light (Jesus) has come into the world, and men loved the darkness (their sin) rather than the light; for their deeds were evil.  For everyone who does evil, HATES the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds (his sins) should be exposed."

 What if Satan were able to eliminate a few of the books of the Bible (which of course he can't)?  Which ones would he eliminate?  I believe that he would eliminate the Gospel of John, Romans, and Revelation from the New Testament, as well as the truths we have been reading about in Genesis in the Old Testament.  We have learned a lot of historical information in our Genesis readings, but here are a few of the key truths that are OH SO IMPORTANT for our world today. 

 * Our earth and all the stars in the heavens did not come about through evolution or a big bang; they were created by God. 

* People didn't evolve over millions of years; they were created by God instantaneously, and made in His image.

* Humans are by nature sinful.

* God exists in more than one personage. "And God said, 'Let US make man in OUR image' "

* Marriage is between one man and one woman.

 We should all thank God on a regular basis that Satan can not eliminate any of God's Word, that God created to teach us, guide us, challenge us, and encourage us until He takes us home to spend eternity with Him.   

 PRAISE THE LORD!!!

 «Porque la palabra de Dios es viva y eficaz, y más cortante que cualquier espada de dos filos; penetra hasta la división del alma y el espíritu, de las articulaciones y los tuétanos, y discierne los pensamientos y las intenciones del corazón» Hebreos 4:12

 Nosotros, como cristianos, creemos que la Biblia es 100 % verdadera, infalible e inspirada por Dios.  Consta de 66 libros escritos por Dios a través de 39 o 40 autores durante un período de 1500 años (los eruditos bíblicos no están seguros de quién escribió Hebreos).  Aunque estos autores escribieron, Dios fue quien los inspiró y guió.  Por eso la Biblia es un solo libro.  La mayoría de los no creyentes creen que la Biblia no es la Palabra de Dios. Es un libro escrito por hombres bienintencionados que hicieron todo lo posible por explicar lo que sucedía a su alrededor. Juan 3:19-20 explica por qué no aceptan la Biblia como verdad: 

 « Y este es el juicio: que la luz (Jesús) ha venido al mundo, y los hombres amaron más las tinieblas (sus pecados) que la luz, porque sus obras eran malas. Porque todo aquel que hace lo malo, ODIA la luz y no viene a la luz, para que sus obras (sus pecados) no sean expuestas».

  ¿Qué pasaría si Satanás pudiera eliminar algunos de los libros de la Biblia (lo cual, por supuesto, no puede hacer)?  ¿Cuáles eliminaría?  Creo que eliminaría el Evangelio de Juan, Romanos y Apocalipsis del Nuevo Testamento, así como las verdades que hemos estado leyendo en Génesis en el Antiguo Testamento.  Hemos aprendido mucha información histórica en nuestras lecturas del Génesis, pero aquí hay algunas de las verdades clave que son TAN IMPORTANTES para nuestro mundo actual.

* Nuestra tierra y todas las estrellas del cielo no surgieron a través de la evolución o un big bang; fueron creadas por Dios.

* Las personas no evolucionaron a lo largo de millones de años; fueron creadas por Dios instantáneamente y a su imagen y semejanza.

* Los seres humanos son pecadores por naturaleza.

* Dios existe en más de una persona. «Y dijo Dios: «Hagamos al hombre a nuestra imagen»».

* El matrimonio es entre un hombre y una mujer.

 Todos debemos dar gracias a Dios regularmente porque Satanás no puede eliminar ninguna parte de la Palabra de Dios, que Dios creó para enseñarnos, guiarnos, desafiarnos y animarnos hasta que nos lleve a casa para pasar la eternidad con Él.
