Come discover the peace in a loud world

Christmas at Hessel Church

Long Awaited

Hessel Church is partnering with Grace Christian Academy to present Long Awaited, a heartfelt drama that follows a shepherd family whose world is shaken by loss, disappointment, and unanswered questions. Set in the outskirts of Bethlehem around 5 BC., they wrestle with faith, broken relationships, and promises that seem long delayed. They must decide whether to keep hoping when circumstances give them every reason to give up. Against the backdrop of a world unknowingly awaiting the birth of Christ, this story explores patience, hope, and the faithfulness of God—reminding us that even in seasons of waiting, God has not forgotten, His promises still stand, and in Him, nothing is ever truly lost.

Peace in a Loud World

Christmas promises peace, but most of us arrive exhausted, distracted, and carrying more than we let on. This Advent, we're asking what it means that Christ came into a loud, unfinished world — and still brought peace. Not silence, but a presence steady enough to hold in the middle of the noise.

Over the Christmas season, we'll walk through the Christmas story — Mary's interrupted plans, Joseph's quiet wrestling, the shepherds' startled night, and the long-awaited promise kept — each pointing to the same truth: the noise of our lives isn't a barrier to God's presence, it's where He meets us.

Come as you are.
