Bible Prophecy - Luke 24:25-27, 44-49 - November 15, 2025

 “Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures”

 One of the most common misconceptions among believers when reading the Bible is the idea that the Word of God’s central figure is humanity; however, the Bible is truly about Jesus and how God used Him to save humanity —from Genesis to Revelation, Jesus is the central figure of the Text.

 We start the passage with two men walking the road to Emmaus. We can assume these men believed in Jesus, given that they hoped He was the redeemer of Israel, though we cannot conclude they were part of the 12. Jesus had not yet revealed Himself to them, yet He explained to them how the death of the Christ was necessary to fulfill the Word of God through the prophets. Evidently, these men had not fully embraced the Word of the prophets as they had lost hope that Jesus was the promised Messiah; it would be easy to criticize their lack of faith since we have full confirmation that Jesus indeed was the promised Messiah. However, Jesus has not yet entered His glory, as that is a prophecy of the second coming of the Christ! Do you fully believe He will come back? Do you live a life with the hope and certainty of His return? Don’t make the same mistake these two men made.

 Reading verses 44-49 gave me chills! Can you imagine being in the room, having your mind suddenly open, and hearing from the Christ himself the proclamation of repentance for the forgiveness of sins for all nations? That must have been unbelievable.

 Today, we have the same knowledge they gained, and it is our mission and joy to be part of that holy movement to proclaim the same message of repentance and salvation. Are you excited to be part of this movement? Do you joyfully and anxiously await the coming of Christ for His church? Just as He promised, he would die and resurrect on the 3rd day to proclaim His victory over death. He promised to come for you, me, and all the believers in all the nations. Are you ready?

 «Entonces, comenzando por Moisés y todos los profetas, les explicó lo que se refería a él en todas las Escrituras».

 Uno de los errores más comunes entre los creyentes al leer la Biblia es la idea de que la figura central de la Palabra de Dios es la humanidad; sin embargo, la Biblia trata realmente sobre Jesús y cómo Dios lo utilizó para salvar a la humanidad: desde el Génesis hasta el Apocalipsis, Jesús es la figura central del texto.

 Comenzamos el pasaje con dos hombres caminando por el camino a Emaús. Podemos suponer que estos hombres creían en Jesús, dado que esperaban que Él fuera el redentor de Israel, aunque no podemos concluir que formaran parte de los doce. Jesús aún no se les había revelado, pero les explicó cómo la muerte de Cristo era necesaria para cumplir la Palabra de Dios a través de los profetas. Evidentemente, estos hombres no habían aceptado plenamente la Palabra de los profetas, ya que habían perdido la esperanza de que Jesús fuera el Mesías prometido; sería fácil criticar su falta de fe, ya que tenemos la plena confirmación de que Jesús era efectivamente el Mesías prometido. Sin embargo, Jesús aún no ha entrado en su gloria, ya que esa es una profecía de la segunda venida de Cristo. ¿Crees plenamente que Él volverá? ¿Vives con la esperanza y la certeza de Su regreso? No cometas el mismo error que cometieron estos dos hombres.

 ¡Leer los versículos 44-49 me dio escalofríos! ¿Te imaginas estar en la habitación, que tu mente se abra de repente y escuchar al mismo Cristo proclamar el arrepentimiento para el perdón de los pecados de todas las naciones? Debió de ser increíble.

 Hoy en día, tenemos el mismo conocimiento que ellos obtuvieron, y es nuestra misión y alegría formar parte de ese movimiento sagrado para proclamar el mismo mensaje de arrepentimiento y salvación. ¿Te emociona formar parte de este movimiento? ¿Esperas con alegría y ansiedad la venida de Cristo por su iglesia? Tal como prometió, moriría y resucitaría al tercer día para proclamar su victoria sobre la muerte. Prometió venir por ti, por mí y por todos los creyentes de todas las naciones. ¿Estás listo?
