Bible Prophecy - Daniel 7:13-14 - November 17, 2025

Daniel 7:13-14:

  13“I saw in the night visions,

and behold, with the clouds of heaven

    there came one like a son of man,

and he came to the Ancient of Days

    and was presented before him.

 14 And to him was given dominion

    and glory and a kingdom,

that all peoples, nations, and languages

    should serve him;

his dominion is an everlasting dominion,

    which shall not pass away,

and his kingdom one

    that shall not be destroyed.

 The book of Daniel is famous for its practical stories of faith amid struggle and against all odds.  The lion’s den and the fiery furnace are faith miracles that are used in countless illustrations.  The second half of Daniel is prophetic and a little less discussed.  Daniel was known for his ability to interpret dreams and was a prophet who predicted the downfall of the kingdoms he was part of while Israel was in exile.  Daniel also had predictions about other future kingdoms, as the second coming of Jesus and his kingdom. That is where we pick up in chapter 7.  

 In verses 13 and 14, Daniel is shown an image of Jesus, the Son, and God the Father.  The Son of Man, Jesus, is presented to the Ancient of Days, God the Father.  Jesus is given the dominion of the whole Earth.  Jesus’s kingdom is both physical and spiritual.  The physical kingdom is explained earlier in the chapter.  Before the Son of Man is presented, there are four kingdoms described.  The last one envelopes the other three by force through the kings; the last one is probably the antichrist.  However, Jesus is presented and rules over this final kingdom.  Jesus’s 2nd coming will be on Earth for a time, as this prophecy indicates.  

 We know that it is spiritual because “all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him” is true today.  Many nations and languages currently serve him in Spirit, and all should serve him.  Praise God, His kingdom is everlasting and will never be destroyed!  His spiritual kingdom is present and everlasting.  With this knowledge, we can continually praise Him.  

 Thank you, Jesus, for providing our salvation from our sin.   We praise you and thank you for being on the throne of the everlasting kingdom.  Praise God that your kingdom can never be destroyed! Amen.

 Daniel 7:13-14:

 13 «Vi en las visiones nocturnas,

y he aquí, con las nubes del cielo

venía uno como un hijo de hombre,

y llegó al Anciano de días

y fue presentado ante él.

 14 Y se le dio dominio

y gloria y un reino,

para que todos los pueblos, naciones y lenguas

le sirvieran;

su dominio es un dominio eterno,

que no pasará,

y su reino uno

que no será destruido.

 El libro de Daniel es famoso por sus historias prácticas de fe en medio de la lucha y contra todo pronóstico.  El foso de los leones y el horno ardiente son milagros de fe que se utilizan en innumerables ilustraciones.  La segunda mitad de Daniel es profética y se discute un poco menos.  Daniel era conocido por su capacidad para interpretar los sueños y era un profeta que predijo la caída de los reinos de los que formaba parte mientras Israel estaba en el exilio.  Daniel también tuvo predicciones sobre otros reinos futuros, como la segunda venida de Jesús y su reino. Ahí es donde retomamos el capítulo 7.  

 En los versículos 13 y 14, a Daniel se le muestra una imagen de Jesús, el Hijo, y Dios Padre.  El Hijo del Hombre, Jesús, es presentado ante el Anciano de Días, Dios Padre.  A Jesús se le da el dominio de toda la Tierra.  El reino de Jesús es tanto físico como espiritual.  El reino físico se explica anteriormente en el capítulo.  Antes de que se presente al Hijo del Hombre, se describen cuatro reinos.  El último envuelve a los otros tres por la fuerza a través de los reyes; el último es probablemente el anticristo.  Sin embargo, Jesús es presentado y gobierna sobre este reino final.  La segunda venida de Jesús será en la Tierra por un tiempo, como indica esta profecía.

 Sabemos que es espiritual porque «todos los pueblos, naciones y lenguas le servirán» es cierto hoy en día. Muchas naciones y lenguas le sirven actualmente en Espíritu, y todos deberían servirle. ¡Alabado sea Dios, su reino es eterno y nunca será destruido! Su reino espiritual está presente y es eterno.  Con este conocimiento, podemos alabarlo continuamente.  

 Gracias, Jesús, por proporcionarnos la salvación de nuestros pecados.  Te alabamos y te damos gracias por estar en el trono del reino eterno.  ¡Alabado sea Dios porque tu reino nunca podrá ser destruido! Amén.
