Bible Prophecy - Revelation 11:15-19 - November 24, 2025
Today’s passage is a celebration.
It is an announcement from heaven: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever”. In turn, God and His Son are worshiped because they have begun to reign and to judge the earth.
This does not imply that God was ever not sovereign over all of the universe. This refers to the kingdom that God gave to the world through Adam to rule in subjection to God. Adam and his descendants were ordered to take dominion over creation for God’s glory. When Adam sinned, we lost this right to rule, and the world was caught up in the futility of rebellion against the Lord. Thankfully, God in His grace purposed to restore this rule and reign, through His Messiah that would be set over all nations.
This is the fulfillment of the statement in the Lord’s prayer. “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” What does this mean to us? There will come a time when man will no longer be in control of the world. God will restore the world to his plan—a world without sin.
Today, we need to recognize God’s sovereign work in the world and use it to inspire worship in our hearts.
As the worship song states:
There is coming a day, When no heartache shall come,
No more clouds in the sky, No more tears to dim the eye,
All is peace forevermore, On that happy golden shore,
What a day, glorious day that will be.
What a day that will be, When my Jesus I shall see,
And I look upon His face, The One who saved my by His grace,
When He takes me by the hand, And leads me through the Promised Land,
What a day, glorious day that will be.

El pasaje de hoy es una celebración.
Es un anuncio del cielo: «El reino del mundo ha pasado a ser el reino de nuestro Señor y de su Cristo, y él reinará por los siglos de los siglos». A su vez, Dios y su Hijo son adorados porque han comenzado a reinar y a juzgar la tierra.
Esto no implica que Dios no haya sido soberano sobre todo el universo. Se refiere al reino que Dios le dio al mundo a través de Adán para que lo gobernara en sujeción a Dios. A Adán y a sus descendientes se les ordenó que dominaran la creación para la gloria de Dios. Cuando Adán pecó, perdimos este derecho a gobernar, y el mundo quedó atrapado en la futilidad de la rebelión contra el Señor. Afortunadamente, Dios, en su gracia, se propuso restaurar este dominio y reinado a través de su Mesías, que sería puesto sobre todas las naciones.
Este es el cumplimiento de la declaración de la oración del Señor: «Venga tu reino, hágase tu voluntad, en la tierra como en el cielo». ¿Qué significa esto para nosotros? Llegará un momento en que el hombre ya no controlará el mundo. Dios restaurará el mundo según su plan: un mundo sin pecado.
Hoy en día, debemos reconocer la obra soberana de Dios en el mundo y utilizarla para inspirar la adoración en nuestros corazones.
Como dice la canción de adoración:
Llegará un día en que no habrá más dolor,
ni nubes en el cielo, ni lágrimas que empañen los ojos,
todo será paz para siempre, en esa feliz costa dorada.
Qué día tan glorioso será ese día.
¡Qué día será aquel en que vea a mi Jesús
y contemple su rostro, el de Aquel que me salvó por su gracia!
Cuando me tome de la mano y me guíe por la Tierra Prometida,
¡qué día tan glorioso será aquel!
