Bible Prophecy - Isaiah 9:1-7 - November 8, 2025

 Around 700 years before the birth of Christ, Isaiah, by and through the Holy Spirit, wrote these words.

 “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.” “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from this time forth and forevermore. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will do this.”(Isa. 9:2, 6-7)

 Bible prophecy has proven 100% accurate, whether it is revealing the fate of a king, a nation, or mankind, through a Savior —the very Son of God. So how do we know that the passage in Isaiah is speaking about this Savior? How do we know that it is Christ who has fulfilled and will fulfill this prophetic word?

 There are over 300 Old Testament passages that foretell the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. With just these two passages from Isaiah, we have three eyewitnesses that speak directly to their fulfillment: Matthew, Luke, and John.

 Matt 1:23 - “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel”

Matt.4:14-16 - “ … so that what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: “The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.”

Luke 1:32-33 - “He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

Luke 1:79 - “ … to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

John 14:27 - “I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

 With Isaiah, that’s only 2 of the over 300 prophecies and passages that reveal that the Son of God, Jesus, is Lord and Savior. The question today is … do you believe it? What more convincing is needed? Perhaps reading 298 more will help!

 Unos 700 años antes del nacimiento de Cristo, Isaías, por medio del Espíritu Santo, escribió estas palabras:

 «El pueblo que andaba en tinieblas vio una gran luz; los que habitaban en tierra de sombra de muerte, luz resplandeció sobre ellos». «Porque un niño nos ha nacido, un hijo nos ha sido dado; y el gobierno estará sobre sus hombros, y se llamará su nombre Admirable Consejero, Dios Fuerte, Padre Eterno, Príncipe de Paz. Lo dilatado de su gobierno y la paz no tendrán límite, sobre el trono de David y sobre su reino, para establecerlo y fortalecerlo en justicia y rectitud desde ahora y para siempre. El celo del Señor de los ejércitos hará esto.» (Isaías 9:2, 6-7)

 La profecía bíblica ha demostrado ser 100% precisa, ya sea que revele el destino de un rey, una nación o la humanidad, a través de un Salvador: el Hijo de Dios. Entonces, ¿cómo sabemos que el pasaje de Isaías se refiere a este Salvador? ¿Cómo sabemos que es Cristo quien ha cumplido y cumplirá esta palabra profética?

 Hay más de 300 pasajes del Antiguo Testamento que anuncian el nacimiento, la vida, la muerte y la resurrección de Jesús. Con tan solo estos dos pasajes de Isaías, tenemos tres testigos oculares que hablan directamente de su cumplimiento: Mateo, Lucas y Juan.

 Mateo 1:23 - «He aquí, la virgen concebirá y dará a luz un hijo, y le pondrán por nombre Emanuel».

Mateo 4:14-16 - «…para que se cumpliera lo dicho por el profeta Isaías: “La tierra de Zabulón y la tierra de Neftalí, el camino del mar, al otro lado del Jordán, Galilea de los gentiles: el pueblo que habitaba en tinieblas vio una gran luz; a los que habitaban en región de sombra de muerte, luz les resplandeció”».

Lucas 1:32-33 - «Él será grande y será llamado Hijo del Altísimo. Y el Señor Dios le dará el trono de David su padre, y reinará sobre la casa de Jacob para siempre, y su reino no tendrá fin».

Lucas 1:79 - «…para dar luz a los que habitan en tinieblas y en sombra de muerte, para guiar nuestros pasos por el camino de la paz».

Juan 14:27 - «Yo les he dicho: La paz les dejo; mi paz les doy. No se la doy a ustedes como la da el mundo. No se angustien ni tengan miedo».

 Isaías y otros versículos son solo dos de las más de 300 profecías y pasajes que revelan que el Hijo de Dios, Jesús, es Señor y Salvador. La pregunta hoy es: ¿lo crees? ¿Qué más pruebas necesitas? ¡Quizás leer 298 versículos más te ayude!
