Attributes of God - God is Glorious- May 7, 2026

As we study together this month, the attributes of God, we strive to fathom His radiance … God is glorious!

Lord, as finite beings, you have given us glimpses in your Word describing your Glory. Yet, we cannot fully comprehend its depth, as it is described in light, in radiance, in creation, in your Son. As we read your Word, may we be enlightened to understand this amazing, holy attribute. Amen

Isaiah 42:8 - I am the LORD; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.

Ex. 24:17 - Now the appearance of the glory of the LORD was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in the sight of the people of Israel.

Is. 6:3 - Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!”

1 Ki. 8:10-11 - And when the priests came out of the Holy Place, a cloud filled the house of the LORD, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD.

Heb. 1:3 - He (Christ) is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the Word of his power.

Rev.21:22 - And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

So, what is the glory of God? It is the exact visible imprint of His supernatural nature, His supernatural plan of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is visible in the Old Testament, in the New Testament, and today through believers in Christ through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Col.1:27 - To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Concluding …

Eph. 3:20-21 - Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Atributos de Dios - Dios es glorioso - 7 de mayo de 2026

Mientras estudiamos juntos este mes los atributos de Dios, nos esforzamos por comprender Su resplandor… ¡Dios es glorioso!

Señor, como seres finitos, nos has permitido vislumbrar en Tu Palabra descripciones de Tu gloria. Sin embargo, no podemos comprender plenamente su profundidad, tal y como se describe en la luz, en el resplandor, en la creación y en Tu Hijo. Al leer tu Palabra, que seamos iluminados para comprender este atributo asombroso y santo. Amén

Isaías 42:8 - Yo soy el Señor; ese es mi nombre; mi gloria no la doy a otro, ni mi alabanza a los ídolos tallados.

Éxodo 24:17 - Y la apariencia de la gloria del Señor era como un fuego devorador en la cima de la montaña a la vista del pueblo de Israel.

Is. 6:3 - ¡Santo, santo, santo es el Señor de los ejércitos; toda la tierra está llena de su gloria!

1 Re. 8:10-11 - Y cuando los sacerdotes salieron del Lugar Santo, una nube llenó la casa del Señor, de modo que los sacerdotes no pudieron permanecer allí para ministrar a causa de la nube, pues la gloria del Señor llenó la casa del Señor.

Heb. 1:3 - Él (Cristo) es el resplandor de la gloria de Dios y la imagen exacta de su sustancia, y sostiene el universo con la palabra de su poder.

Apocalipsis 21:22 - Y no vi templo en la ciudad, pues su templo es el Señor Dios Todopoderoso y el Cordero. Y la ciudad no necesita sol ni luna que la iluminen, pues la gloria de Dios la ilumina, y su lámpara es el Cordero.

Entonces, ¿qué es la gloria de Dios? Es la imagen visible exacta de su naturaleza sobrenatural, su plan sobrenatural de salvación a través de su Hijo, Jesucristo. Es visible en el Antiguo Testamento, en el Nuevo Testamento y hoy a través de los creyentes en Cristo por la morada del Espíritu Santo.

Col. 1:27 - A ellos Dios quiso dar a conocer cuán grandes son entre los gentiles las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio, que es Cristo en vosotros, la esperanza de gloria.

Concluyendo…

Ef. 3:20-21 - Ahora bien, a aquel que es capaz de hacer mucho más abundantemente de lo que pedimos o pensamos, según el poder que obra en nosotros, a Él sea la gloria en la iglesia y en Cristo Jesús por todas las generaciones, por los siglos de los siglos. Amén.
