1. Waiting can be one of the most challenging aspects of life. How do you usually respond to waiting: frustration, problem-solving, prayer, or distraction?
2. Tell of a personal experience in which God has come through after lots of waiting? What is an area of your life now where you feel like you are waiting on the Lord?

1. Read Matthew 1:18-25. What can we learn about Jesus from this passage? Also, what does Joseph's response to this amazing news teach us?
2. Read Isaiah 64:4. How does God respond to those who wait for Him? How does this promise shape the way we approach seasons of waiting?
3. Read Luke 2:11. How does the Christmas story encapsulate that God is with us in our waiting?
Life Application Questions
1. This Christmas, remember that God is with you. What struggles, trials, or sins must you lay at His feet in surrender this month? Express your trust that He is with you as you pray to Him.
