Icebreaker Questions

1. If your middle-school self gave you life advice today, how concerned would you be?  How have your opinions changed over time?

2. Who or what shaped your sense of “right and wrong” the most growing up?  Has that source changed over time?

Diving Deeper

1. Read 2 Timothy 3:16.  What does this verse teach about the source and purpose of God's Word?  Explain each of the 'profits' that spring from the Bible.

2. Read 2 Timothy 3:17.  What does it mean to be 'complete' as a man (or woman) of God?  What role does Scripture play in that?

3. Read 2 Peter 1:20-21.  What does this passage teach us about the dual authorship of the Bible (man and God)?  How do those two things work together?

Life Application Questions

1. What does your schedule say about how much authority God’s Word has in your life?  What changes need to be made, if any?

2. One of the profits of Scripture intake as laid out by the Apostle Paul is 'training in righteousness.'  As a Christian, how has God's Word trained you in righteousness?  And what area must you submit to the Bible concerning that you may continue to mature?
