Icebreaker Questions
1. What’s a team (sports, work, school, hobby, etc.) you’ve been part of where everyone had a different role? What made it work — or not work?
2. Give an example of a friend who has 'sharpened' you over the years; someone who has encouraged, challenged, and helped you. What characteristics do you look for in choosing friends?
Diving Deeper
1. Read 1 Corinthians 12:12-13. For the many parts of the Body of Christ, what unites them all together? Why is this important for the Church?
2. Read 1 Corinthians 12:14-20. What is the larger point that Paul is making when he speaks about the different parts of the human body?
3. Read Ephesians 4:15-16. Who is the head of the body? What is the aim of the body? How does the body accomplish this aim?
Life Application Questions
1. God often equips us with desires, passions, and abilities that we can in turn use to bless the Church family. What gifts, experiences, or passions has God given you that could strengthen others?
2. What is one step you could take this week to move from spectator to participant in the church body? Think practically - what ministry do you want to (1) step up in, or (2) step into?
