Icebreaker Questions

1. We live in what is commonly referred to as "the information age."  What benefits and detriments would you say come with the almost unlimited access to information on the internet?

2. The concept of objective truth (truth that exists outside of oneself) is controversial in today's day and age.  Why do you think that is?  What does Scripture teach about the nature of truth?

Diving Deeper

1. Read Titus 2:1.  What does Paul command Timothy to teach?  Why is this so important, especially in our present, contemporary moment?

2. Read Hebrews 5:14.  How are we to train as Christians?  How often are we to train according to this verse?  

3. Read Titus 2:1-8.  How does sound doctrine relate to sound living?

1. Describe these four actions steps and what they mean: (1) Believe the right truth, (2) Reject subtle lies, (3) Train your radar, and (4) Live what you know.  Which of these needs your focused attention right now?
