My Story

1. Have you ever met someone who had a passion for the Lord but not according to knowledge?  Why is it so important that we are both passionate and knowledgeable in our Christian lives?

2. What is a tradition or ritual you grew up with that you later realized wasn’t necessary for salvation?  Why is faith the only thing that can save us?

Diving Deeper

1. Read Romans 10:1-4.  How would you describe the folly of the Jewish people according to these verses?  Are we ever tempted to live in a similar way?

2. Read Romans 10:5-13.  What is necessary to believe in order to be saved?

3. Read Romans 10:14-21.  How does this passage speak to the urgency of spreading the Gospel to others?

Taking it Home

1. If you are a Christian who has already believed in Jesus and the Gospel, why is studying the Gospel in a passage like this important?  What benefit comes from reminding ourselves of the good news?

2. The Gospel isn't meant to be something we keep in, but spread to others.  Brainstorm strategies for spreading the Gospel, and pray for specific people whom God has placed in your life that He would open their hearts to receive Him.
