1. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up—and why?

2. Where have you seen “truth without love” or “love without truth” go wrong in real life?

Diving Deeper

1. Read Ephesians 4:11-12.  What is the role of leaders in the Church and what is the role of the saints who make up the Church? 

2. Read Ephesians 4:13.  According to this verse, what are the aims of the Church?  How does each one work together?

3. Read Ephesians 4:15.  How are we to speak to others?  Describe how both of these guiding pillars are found in the example of Jesus Christ.

Life Application

1. If ministry is a calling for every Christian, where is your current “position” on the field—and what’s one next drill to grow?

2. If your part of the body isn’t “working properly,” what suffers? Name one habit to start/strengthen (e.g., weekly service role, prayer for others, intentional encouragement) to help the body “build itself up in love.”
