# Hessel Church > Hessel Church is a non-denominational, Bible-believing, gospel-centered Christian church in Sonoma County, California. Founded in 1909, we have two locations: Sebastopol and Santa Rosa. We are welcoming to anyone — whether you're a longtime Christian or just curious. ## Who We Are Hessel Church has been serving Sonoma County since 1909. We are one of the oldest evangelical churches in the region. We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God, and we preach expositionally through Scripture. Our theology is historic orthodox Christianity: salvation by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. We are non-denominational. We are a multigenerational church of ordinary people following Jesus imperfectly, together, by grace. We are honest about doubt and struggle.
